Wheel fitment from 17's to 18's

Anyone else changed up from the 17's I believe they are 215/40R17's?

I'm wanting to go to 225/40R18. im only going with the 40 profile due to the tires i want and know are really good. Goodyear Eagle F1 Asy 3's.

im looking at the rotiform IND-t wheels in 18" i believe they are 8.5J

I have this all in mind of stabilizing the car for stage 2 so I'm widening the track, beefing up the rubber and lowering the car by 25mm to stop it being sketchy as F under power.

They can't both be 40 profile as that affect the speedo with the increased diameter, normally if you had a 45 profile and went up an 1" in diameter then the profile would drop to 40 ?

That would happen regardless when going from 17” to 18”. It’s also programmable at audi to be correct once you change up or down retrospectively

My question was would they fit the car as I go up not only a rim size but also a profile size
