What's this between water tanks?

So I've recently notice there being a loud ticking noise coming from this part....

Just wondering what the part is and if the ticking is normal.

Carbon canister and ticking is normal, no need to stress

Ah good, thanks Jenno.

I just noticed it after I'd done the N249 bypass yesterday.

You can hear it over the engine noise sometimes :S

With the bonnet down I can hear mine slightly, if I'm outside the car, but I can't hear it when I'm in the car

Nothing to worry about mate, it's normal.
