Im looking at swapping my alloys on my brand new 2021 Sline Q5 and was wondering what TPMS system does the 2021 Q5 use. Is it in the tyre or on the ABS

It will depend on what option boxes were ticked. If the car has metal valve stems then you have the full fat version with sensors in each wheel that record temp and pressure individually on each wheel. If you have rubber valve stems then you'll have the ABS sensor version.
You'd think the full fat version would be better wouldn't you? If Audi had implemented software where that pressure reading compensated for a rise in tyre temp it would have been brilliant...however they didn't so a few miles down the road all the pressures reported are different so in reality about as useful as an ashtray on a motorcycle.
