My 4 year old Avant has had 3 services in that time and covered 75500 miles

Longlife servicing is based on the type of journey you do. If its mainly motorway miles then cars tend to go longer between services as the oil and other fluids all get up to temp and don't degrade as quickly

Short journeys tend to bring the service intervals right down

Mine is a few short journeys and the odd long-ish haul... but 2500miles/year average.... I've had two services and just about due for the third now that it is 4 years old.

Only gets driven every two-three weeks
