I have emailed the Ross Tech support department for some assistance, just trying to understand things a bit myself.

Tomorrow I will be retro-fitting the Bluetooth KIT 7P6035730F module in my MY12 Skoda Octavia VRS.

In preparation I have had a look at the CAN bus coding as I believe I will need to add address 77 Telephone to the CAN Gateway.

VCDS comes up with a screen to say that limited coding information is available for the module. So refering to VW Golf (1K) CAN-Gateway - Ross-Tech Wiki which is where their wiki send you for the CAN gateway on an Octavia II I am trying to understand the current coding of the gateway.

Address 19: CAN Gateway (J533) Labels: 7N0-907-530-V2.clb
Part No SW: 7N0 907 530 H HW: 1K0 907 951
Component: J533 Gateway H42 1620
Revision: H42 Serial number: 090711F1000528
Coding: 351303
Shop #: WSC 73430 790 00098
VCID: 356B5EF29C5A571

So converting the coding of 351302 to Binary 001101010001001100000011 and looking at that article doesn't make sense, it suggests that my car is coded for no engine, no transmission (Ok it is manual but the cluster does know what gear I am in) ABS has Steering Angle but no Airbags. So I can only deduce that I am reading the binary against the document wrong. It looks like I have a H revision Module, but that document suggests for a H Index gateway I should have 7 Bytes ?

Anyone shed any light on that one ?

Thanks.

Click on installation list & it should show a list of modules that are or can be ticked for your car.

Thanks Mate, is that an option on the first page when you go into the module, where I would have selected coding ?

car is in bits at the moment and the battery is disconnected.

Yeap shows as a button to click.

Thanks Nige, all coded and tested, just need to manoeuvre the loom so that the stereo will go back in all the way.
