TT Quattro 180bhp query

Hi all,
So last week cam belt went on my A3 sadly, so I've been shopping and got myself a nice tt Quattro.

Picked car up today and everything is great however I feel though when putting foot down it keeps holding back. Any ideas, is this to do with 4wd or could it be the maf sensor.

Does this sound familiar to anyone

Went to see my mechanic last night.
He tells me it's normal and due to the ko3s turbo been small they struggle a little above 4K rpm.
So planned on a small stage 1 remap which I'm told will make it smoother through gears and I should not feel it as much.
Trip to r-tech I think coming up once my a3 sold will use that to go for remap

If anyone has any other ideas please feel free to comment but I'm not wanting to do lots of mods as I have a great example of a tt Quattro I feel and want to keep as original as possible.
