Tie rod end help please

Hello people

My MOT is due on Tuesday and my tie rod end needs doing. I have everything undone I believe but I can't get the tie rod to release from the knuckle.

I tried to pry it out and had no luck and asked my local garage for help who told me about the hex nut in the top of the tie rod end that you can access once the top bolt is out. Ive managed to turn this maybe a quarter of a turn but it still won't budge. Am I missing something here? How much should it be turned?

Anyowho may come across this, it required brute force. A bolster jammed in the opening and lots of hitting. The pinch bolt was completely destroyed so replaced that with a normal nut and bolt and all sorted
