Apologies to anyone who's read this type of post a million times but I'm here for an education - I also couldn't find the answer when I searched on here (probably my poor searching skills....)
So I'm in the market for a second hand a6/a4 estate - drove a semi auto a6 3l tdi and fell in love. Now just looking for a low mileage manual (read hens teeth...)
So my questions are...
I've seen various power outputs with this engine, what options where there?
Been thinking about a remap on a 240 version (if I can find one) who would you recommend? Remap appeals because it's affordable, easy and shouldn't affect longevity much?? Other suggestions?
I'm not looking for a show car, just a fun family car that will make me feel 18 when I want to but 40 when my wife's in the car
How reliable is the auto compared to the manual in terms of longevity and cost to fix?
Servicing costs wise - how bad are they considering I'm coming from running a warm hatch (seat Ibiza fr 130 tdi which has cost me pocket money to run 130,000 miles so far)
