Strange noise

Very odd noise, sounds like a metal grinding noise possibly from passenger wheel side?

Stops when the car isn't in motion, no change when i raise and lower the clutch etc so hoping nothing to do with that?

Had to get out of my car and look under as sounded like metal scrapping along the floor??

Any idea's please?

Wheel bearing springs to mind or is the disc protector scraping on the disc?

Haven't had any other signs of bearing, no groaning before hand etc. will look at protector.

Should also point out it comes and goes. Not constent.

Someone also said maybe re shims in the brake pads have come lose?

Jack it up give it a good shake push an pull for any bearing movement also spin the wheel whilst listening to where it's coming from,other than that take wheel off an closely inspect it.

i would say shims also. The guy who did mine forgot to put them back in when he changed the pads on my old 172, and made said grinding noise. Went when they were put back in.
