Stiff clutch pedal but now ok

hi.

I’ve got a 2.5tdi Quattro with 140k on the clock.

The clutch has always had a high bitting point but has never slipped.

Yesterday the clutch pedal went very stiff and it was difficult to select gears. The problem only happened once then everything seemed ok.

I’ve only driven the car a short distance but everything seemed ok again.

The fluid is on max.

I don’t want to pay out for a new clutch and flywheel if there is another issue.

Could this be a cylinder or something else?
