Steering angle sensor reading problem!

Hi guys, I have a Audi A3 2.0tdi the steering angle sensor fault was on, so after failing to re calibrate , I bought another sensor and fitted it, but like the last one , on the angle readings Im just getting 0.00 degrees, but getting wheel turn speed , can anyone point me in the right direction? And if I'm missing something? Cheers jack , I've added some images.
