Squeaky brakes

Approaching 12k miles and my brakes have suddenly started squeaking quite horribly. Will take it to be looked at in the coming days, but just wondered if anyone else has had trouble with short-life brake pads etc!? On average I'd say I'm quite reserved with my braking and very rarely leave it 'late' causing unnecessary wear.

Nope, but from the sound of it yours might need some graphite grease on the sims and pad back plates..

I'm just over the 14k and not had any squeaking so far
