Hey all.

I have a 2013 Sportback 8.5.

From the last few heavy showers I've noticed the car boot lid seems to fill with water.

When I lift the lid, it is like someone opened a tap on the passenger side of the boot lid.

So I have a few questions.
1. Is this normal?
2. If it continues would it cause damage?
3. How do I correct this?

Thanks in advance

No it is not normal. If the tailgate is wet then it is best to lift it slowly at first to allow some water to drain before opening it fully, but even then some water will drip to the inside - that just seems to be a downside of the design. However I certainly do not get what you describe. You must have a leak. Check all the bungs and seals.

Hey thanks for your response.

I'll try to capture a video next time it pours it down. Actually maybe shortly, as we had a night of rain. Lol
