Right guys after posting a few threads re;my slipping clutch saga. And getting some very useful/informative replies.I decided to contact a few specialist workshops that are not too far from me,also my local garage that i use for MOT's and the odd job, that i either don't have time to do or will struggle with.

The result of several phone calls and emails was....

Quotations from £650 - £1150.!?? This was to supply and fit a new clutch kit, dual mass flywheel and slave cylinder.

After gaining a little more info and advice from people on here in the know.I contacted PSI TUNING and got a very competative quote. This included a parts and labour breakdown....

The S3 is booked in tomorrow at PSI for the work to be done.

I'll let you know how i get on.

Update....

I arrived at PSI tuning Nr. Stoke at 9am the car was on the ramps at 9.30am and by 11am everything was removed that needed to be!

I thought while i was there,i would have the sump dropped/cleaned and a new oil pick up fitted(just to be on the safe side).I requested to see the removed pick up which looked clean!Anyway at least it is piece of mind for me.The car was serviced 2k ago so now has had another oil and filter change...Shouldn't need doing for another 6k now.

I sat around reading Audi driver and performance VW mags for an hour then decided to go for a walk(getting bored sitting around).

When i returned the car was waiting outside(much to my surprise) and ready to go i was informed.Oh yeah just to top it of i had asked Pete at PSI if they could do a 4 wheel alignment/tracking while i was here if they had time?I got a positive response. This was also completed.

I've never been happier to pay a garage before!

So...Then it was time to drive home. The first thing i noticed was a really light clutch pedal(very nice in traffic).I didn't realise how heavy the original set up was!And more importantly NO clutch slip!!!!It feels like a different car to drive.

One really happy chappy. Thanks to the guys at PSI Tuning....Superb price and service.

By the way i took Tuffty's advice and went with the LUK complete set-up from GSF.

If anyone wants any info fire away.

Cheers
Andy
