I'm carrying out a "major" (year 6) service on my 2011 S4, first "major" service that I have carried out on this car as I'm now opting out of the main dealer service loop.
Just a couple of questions, when replacing the air filter does everyone replace the O-Ring seal, and what assembly lubricant is normally used on that O-Ring seal as I see that the aftermarket Hengst filter comes complete with a new O-Ring seal and a small tube of assembly paste/lubricant. For your information I bought a genuine Audi (Hengst) filter and a new O-Ring seal - just in case as the aftermarket filter from Hengst comes with one and lubricated it with a very light smear of fresh engine oil to aid re-assembly.
