sat nav error

Hi all.
For the last 3 days the sat nav on my 64 plate s3 sb hasn't been working. It just shows me in the middle of nowhere and doesn't even update as I drive around.
I tried resetting it, taking the st card out and back in but no luck.
I was all set to go to my Audi dealer today and it's started working again!
I called them but they said it probably wouldn't show a fault if I went there as it's working again.
Has anyone had a similar issue? My warranty is up in December, I'd rather get to the bottom of it before then.

Mine "froze" a month ago.
My position remained the same and it was just turning in the spot depending on what direction the car was facing.
Also has a faint rectangle superimposed on part of the screen.
But a simple reset sorted it (hold the two buttons up and press the dial).

Not that you should have to do it but as above, perform a reset and it will sort itself

Update.
It was actually the shark fin aerial that had failed. All ok now after a new one was fitted.
