S4 B8 Engine Mount Failure

Hi,
VCDS is showing a failure of the n/s electro-hydraulic engine mount solenoid on my 2009 S4 B8 3.0 V6S (CAKA).
Two questions:
1. What are the symptoms of a failure. Are they bad enough to justify the (big) task of replacing it?
2. Audi quote over £200 for the part. Are there any third party alternatives?

Thanks for that Xpoweruk.
They're not cheap - about the same price as OE, but I'd have to change both.
Do you think the tighter engine justifies the £400+ cost of the parts?

For me,yes.
I like to make my motors feel as good as I can (the other 034 mounts/inserts are great too)
That aside,the fact that they will never fail again is also a bonus
I suppose it all boils down to how long you aim to keep the S4

TBH it is so long since they where fitted it would be hard to be objective & fair.
I changed my S4 so much over the first few months of ownership remembering what a standard one was like is hard haha.
