Hi

I am wondering what I can have done on my S3 via VCDS. I had VCDS done on my A5 and it didn't do an awful lot, but still worth a cheeky £10-20!

Please let me know what I can do/can't do and if anyone is good with the VCDS for S3's give me a shout!!

Thanks

A few things I've tried on mine :-

Oil temp display
Headlamp wash cycle increased
Acoustic lock
Visual confirmation of comfort closing
High beam assist speeds tweaked to suit
Seat heating timings changed to auto reduce heat setting
DRLs off in MMI menu
Wiper service position added to MMI menu
Stop/Start disabled.

And a few useful bits on other 8V's :-

Auto dipping passenger mirror upon selection of reverse gear
Visual rear park on MMI screen.

More here but you may need google translate :-

You're welcome !!

The first is if you close your car with windows or the pano roof open. Hold lock on your key fob for 5 seconds or so and the windows and roof will close you have to keep the key fob pressed all the time. When everything is fully closed the indicators will flash once so you know you can let go of the button.

By default HBA only activates as speeds above 58kph, mine is now 32kph (20mph) and deactivates at 15mph.

DRLs off in MMI gives me a menu setting to turn the day light runners off. Can't think of many practical uses for this but if I'm tinkering in my drive I use this so's not to draw attention to myself or disturb the neighbours.
