S3 8l Symphony Bose wire

Morining guys Just collected my S3 8l a few days ago and i love her! As you all know the Bose sounds flatter than a pancake and i want to cut the wire. However i do lack the keys to remove the HU but i do have a VAGCOM cable, what would be the code for me to disable the BOSE or does it just enable/disable BOSE from being displayed on the HU? Thank you guys

Depends on the age of the HU, but it's worth a try before cutting the wire.

In VCDS (vagcom) select Radio (control module 56)
Then select Recode (07)
There will be 5 digits displayed. To change out of Bose mode you need to change the 4th digit from left to a 0.

So: xxx0x is Bose off, and xxx1x is Bose on.
