My Car is going back in again this Friday,re The Dreaded Squeak!
I have told the Garage they can have the car till fixed,
courtesy car in the meantime.
Last time (few weeks ago) the garage just sprayed brake cleaner around.
Think the noise is coming from the rear, somewhere?
When I slightly touch the brake pedal,it stops.
Slow Speed,only,ie speed bump,pulling away,seems worst when warmed up(Car).
If that wasn't enough, had a inch and half screw embedded in the left tyre this morning,
you guessed, can't be repaired, new tyre! Oh Dear!

It's not the brakes making the squeak. It's something in the hub. Have you read the long thread about it on a1-forum?

Iv got this too, I'm yet to get them to have a look about it

So took my car in Friday Gone,Didn't know I was booked in first of all,
Great Start!
Waited 25 mins while they hurried around sorting a courtesy car for me.
Today got a call to say they could not replicate the noise,
brakes were taken apart and cleaned,no fault found.
I added to the service manager what would I do if it happened again,
His reply just Pressure Wash the wheels! Sorry not good enough for a £26,000 car!
I have now insisted that they keep the car until a proper solution is made,
Audi UK also aware of situation. Grrrrrrr.

I had the same problem !! .... They changed the brake pads in now the squeeking noise is gone ! ....pads changed at 2000km and now i have done 5000 km without any noise !

Interesting! Thanks for that, that's what I'm pushing for!
This is the second time it's gone in.Did your dealer sort the new pads straight away?
Service Manager told me today,( not Friday when I took the car in)! that most S3's
etc suffer the same! Some tale about the compound used in the pads.

No... At first the coudn't find the problem ! Then i made a testdrive with a mecanic... Pulled up quick and made a hard brake then put the gearbox in neutral and there was the squeaking noise ! Did this a few times and evertime there was the noise ...so it was clear that the problem was something with the brakes !

I have the exact same problem with my S1 on the rear brakes had this booked in January to be resolved and the battle is still on going after 4 visits to Bolton Audi and video footage.

As @josedebardi says above, pretty sure it's not the brake. For what it's worth, I had it really badly from 300-500 miles, and it now seems to have completely stopped...

Well,Got the car back today,
Audi UK give the go ahead to upgrade the front calipers and pads.
This seems to becoming the Fix,as I'm one of the early warranty claims regarding this problem, the service manager added.
Bedding in completed,by Techs,10 x Runs up to 60 mph then sharp brake!
as instructed by Audi.
Also sorted Arm Rest Squeak when in the upright position, now ok.
We'll wait and see!

Upgrade the front callipers? Maybe you will get R8 ones lol

They wouldn't say exactly what parts they used!
So may not have changed anything, during the full seven days they had the car!
