How bad is 'really bad'? Photo? Hubs will corrode and rust at some point, but the use of cheap acidic wheel cleaners will speed up the process considerably. I would expect it to take a few years to get 'really bad' though....
Is it the Scottish air or something, as I've seen some terrible rust on the whole underside & body panels from an A3 that came from Scotland & few others, whereas never seen any A3's with any such rust or on such a dramatic scale in other areas of the country, is it road salt etc for winter?
Suppose my really bad is different from some other folk as am very anal when it comes to things like that. I don't think it's the scottish air as other cars I have owned before never rusted this quickly. As for road salt I wash as soon as it permits to get it all off where possible. Might have a run to the dealers see what they think.
