It sure is a bitter pill to swallow come tax time @ £490.
My 2016 RS3 was £275 to tax so the jump up to £490 for the A45s was rather unpleasant shall we say.
Just pay it quick and try and forget about it :tearsofjoy:

Strange I may not notice the hefty cost of the ved this year as I’m saving £25k not lining audis pockets this time
Shame on you Audi for your **** show of a configuration
And brexit

I would recommend to everyone to get a Vorsprung and get those carbon bits separate. I am sure your dealer will happily fit them to the car for collection!
I am going to ask about this and if they would allow a dashcam installer to fit a Q800pro when I order one - prior to delivery

I’ve just emailed my dealership asking for a refund of my deposit. Still no word from them or response to my calls/emails, so to hell with it all.

Should be no reason not to give it back, more so given the complete uncertainty of spec, availability etc. If it is a reputable dealer there should be no fuss. I ordered my JCW via Cotswold, paid the deposit, only to get a much better deal with BimmerDeals that they couldn’t get anywhere near, so refund issued in a couple days

each franchised dealer has their own policy on whether they will return deposits for cancellations - you could luck in - audi UK cannot override or help if a dealership says no.

Distance selling. They 100% have to return it.

I am only speaking for my brother who ordered through DriveTheDeal back in April last year for a (Q5 or SQ5 I can't remember now) - with the ongoing pandemic and things becoming tough for his work he had to unfortunately cancel - not only having to also pay DtD a cancellation FEE for doing so, but also the dealership refused the return of his deposit and Audi UK said they could do nothing to help him get it back.

Now if you haven't actually signed a contract, that may be a completely different matter - but as I said, good luck and hope you do get your money back.

agreed, BT is for lazy people who want to make it easier for car thieves to steal their car

Mine said no problem getting deposit refunded
But it’s staying put for now as I’m still in line for a launch edition if they manage to get 1
Not holding any hope for 1 but they said they will try their best and all that ****

I'm hoping my car does arrive sooner than later as my WBAC valuation has just gone up another £500
At the moment I am close to just £2k loss over 17 months which is staggering.

I’ve placed my order today. Dealer confirmed adaptive suspension is standard on Vorsprung and it won’t come with wireless charging because of the chip shortage.

opens up the question - I am presuming the 8Y can be modified (tuned) the same as the 8V - the engine doesn't seem to have changed, can anyone tell or do they know?

If that’s true I won’t be happy.

The owners of the system I used to flash mine seem to think the ECU will be different on the 8Y.
However there’s speculation it’ll still be the Bosch ECU.
If I do order the new one at some point I’ll be modifying it straight away this time.

Get it sold snake

Nah .. atm its appreciating in value :tearsofjoy:
I would not be without a car so I won't let it go till the new one arrives.
I'm sure it will start devaluating again at some point, but either way I should not lose much on it :icon thumright:

I have spoke with the sales guy today that I have bought my last couple of cars from told him I am not happy paying full list for a Rs3
as my S3 as been in the dealership 7 times and off the road for over a month in that time trying to rectify my squeaky seat issue and it as started again
so visit number 8 is on the cards when the car is getting serviced in the next couple of weeks . He said he understands and will have a chat with his general sales manager . He also said he would speak to a technician to see if that boy racer spoiler is easy to remove . Its worth a try

Good luck - be nice if they give you even a gesture.
TBH the sportback carbon spoiler looks like it is literally stuck onto the original spoiler.
I'm sure some Boy Racer would buy it off you and put it on their Corsa :tearsofjoy:
