Hi folks,

Just bought my first Audi as a bit of a project. It is a 1999 A4 Avant 1.8 i fairly good nick with the all important FASH.
Does anybody know how easy it is to retro-fit roof rails to the car? Does the roof panel have the required strengthening plates, boltholes etc? Anyone actually carried this out? All help will be gratefully received.

Hey,
I bought the official Audi ones last week for £139. The guy said that they dont make them any more appraently?!/ Dont know if he just wanted me to buy them there and then though!
They fit on the front door and under the rear window, there are two indents on each part of the body which shows the right place for them to go!
I had an MG ZR before and had thule ones for that, but they were no where near as good as these were and ended up ripping a load of paint of the roof, gutted!
If you can still get hold of tthe genuine audi ones i would!
