Hi

I have posted this in the ice forum, but seems no ones in there much,
have had no replies.
and i could do with ordering the right cable if needed before its in the garage next week.

I have two wiring looms and they both look the same,
i was told the one which came with the rnse didnt support bose.

the one i just bought, i was told it supports bose, cd changer and bluetooth,
but i cant see any different,

my question is,
do i need a loom like this?
and what the extra connector for ?

secondly, how do i connect a glovebox cd changer to the loom or the rnse ?
it has a iso - mini iso cable.

thanks for any help.

ps i curenly have a symphony 2 stereo

That harness is for retrofitting bluetooth, and that is the connector going to the BT moduel.

The problem with the harness for ebay is that more often than not they are wired incorrectly. Your best bet is to seel the ones you have and get one that would be correct for your car and configuration, best contact kufatec they can supply the correct harness Kufatec England

I have bluetooth kit in my car now,
so would need that extra connector then.

thanks

also, do you know how the cd changer connects to the rns-e ?
does the mini iso just slot into one of the iso connectors?
thanks

thats just confused me even more,
so looking at that connector you just listed,
i have quadlock in my car ?

You have ISO in the back of your radio symphony 2, you need to go to quadlock for the RNS-E, so you need the adapter as listed in the post above.

Back of the symphony 2

Back of the RNS-E

So you need an adapter like this

This picture from that last link, shows a male quadlock, not a female quadlock as rns-e requires ?
thats whats confused me.

also, what is the other connection on the back of the rnse for ?
The one above the yellow laser sticker ??

and im guessing a cd changer mini iso just goes into one of the 4 iso blocks.

No you don't need the item in the second link. The connector is for AV Input / AUX IN.

Thanks for the help guys,
The loom which came with my rns-e worked fine and all is installed and working fine,
except, they couldnt connect the cd changer. ??

i looked at it with them and though we figured it out,
so it went back in on friday. but they coudnt do it.
couldnt find / get the right wiring/pin configuration.

I have a changer, and cable, which has a blue mini iso connection.
We figured this went into one of the iso blocks on the loom, think it was the red iso block from memory.

Anyway, there was already a block from the car going to this connector,
so we though that taking the pins out of the blue mini iso and putting the pins into the block from the car would work.

but they couldnt do it,
any ideas what i need?
any idea what would be going into this block already ? maybe bluetooth??

thanks

The red connector already has a connection from the car going to it ? not sure what for, my car doesnt have a cd changer as standard ?? But means i cannot plug the blue mini iso for the cd changer in,

The garage was gonna take the pins out of the blue mini iso and fit them into the connector from the car,
but have said its not possible, and wouldnt be able to get the pin configuration right.

Any ideas??

If my cab had a cd changer in, where would it be ? in the glovebox or boot?
or would i be using that connector for the bluetooth?
