Retrofit Virtual Cockpit in facelift 8V

Hi all,

Searched a long time on this forum (and other forums) but can't find the answer for some questions I still have.

My A3 is a facelift diesel 1.6 with AAC and MIB2. If i'm correct i should only need the VC and i'm good to go? I already got a steering wheel with the "view" button. I also need to cut the dash and use a support frame and some new cables.

CP needs to be removed from VC and MIB2? Do you need to relearn the keys? Can you do everything with OBD11 or do you need to connect the VC to Audi? Can the mileage set higher if you buy a used one? Are there other things to take in account when buying a used one?

You'll need ODIS to code the device into the car and a VAS connection if I'm not mistaken. This can't be done with OBD11 alone.
Audi won't register the VC if the milage of the VC is above a certain amount of KM's I believe.
