Retro fit reversing camera

My parking sensors where badly installed or tampered with to fit the tow bar wiring(by the previous owner). They e used scotch licks and so I’ve turned them off for now as they would glitch and the buzzer got annoying.

I’ve dine a search and when I take it apart and fix I properly I wanted to fit a reversing camera.

When I had my old B6 A4 someone did a retrofit on their cabriolet without using genuine parts. I wondered if anyone knows how I could achieve that on my A6?

I did a search but didn’t get any success with the C6.

I was after aftermarket reversing camera myself but it turns out, A6 C6 is very demanding vehicle and will not allow it.
You need to go for a ganuine parts: camera in the tailgate, module, wiring and coding.
@B5NUT covered it in hes extensive thread of he's A6 rebuild. Very knowleadgeable guy who helped many reading it.
If not, ask @DJAlix. He's coding person and can advise from technical point.

What MMI system do you have fitted to your A6.

I have 3G +, I beleive. With a joystick

Sorry it was a question I was asking the OP, you beat me to being the second post as it were

You will have 3G in your C6, 3GP (+) was introduced into the C7.

For the Facelift C6 there were two options 3G Basic (SD card navigation) and 3G which was hard disk based.
