Retro fit Cruise control

Hi guys so just a quick question which has probably already been asked.

I have purchased a cruise control stalk and wiring loom/connector. Do i need anything else to retro fit this to a 1999 A4 B5 2.5tdi?

Someone i know mentioned a vac pump???? Do i need this also?

on cars with electronic throttle, it just connects to the ECU, so you shouldnt need anything else so long as you've got the harness that goes from the stalk to the ECU plug.

Vac pump is used on the earlier petrol engines which had a cable throttle.
