All great for sucking in a load of dust .

Green are your best bet... foam filters are pretty rubbish and by design require a decent oiling to work effectively... this is a problem for MAF sensors particularly on the 8L as the MAF is so close to the filter...

Green cotton is the best choice for a flat panel filter on the 8L

yup can see that, oil evaporates , deposits on the mesh , sensor looses calibration ...probably reads less = ?
