Hello, My car is making a horrendous scrapping/grinding/clicking noise which I belive to be the rear wheel bearings. Been quoted £320 all in to get them replaced; this is based on 4 hours of work.

I have been told by a couple of places that they are a b@stard to do as the ball joint needs to come away - can anyone confirm the process and time needed.

Cheers

:crying:

i thought that they do it with an on car press so all that need to come off is the drive shaft and a few other bit. i know Audi do it with on car press, cant see it taking 4 hrs though

Seems expensive. I had both of my rear bearings done and various other bits and pieces including a service and it cost me £430.
