The rear shocks on my 3.2 S-Line have started to weep. It's totally standard on 18inch wheels. The car is the family taxi-workhorse so I'm after comfort rather than flat cornering. What shocks (and springs) have people found are good for comfort, as the roads near me are terrible with speed bumps and potholes everywhere

You could try Bilstein B4's, as they're not uprated over stock and the shorter stroke B4 sports work well with lowering springs.

Koni FSD's also get good reviews and the fancy valving is supposed to really work. Bit pricey though.

Bilstein B4 are oe , they are not shorter but slightly uprated .

Highly recommended and comfortable .
