Rear lights - electrical fault?

Hi all, mum said light flashed up on dash saying a light was out so investigated.

Both number plate lights are out and the rear left light is dim. (See pic)

Checked the number plate lights against mine and they work so I'm guessing it's an electrical fault.

Any ideas?
