Hi all.

Took a punt on some Ali express rear cup holders.
They turned up today, so I fitted them. Cost me about £25 for the holders and the surround. Thought I ordered the plain surround, but turns out I ordered the fake carbon one instead.
Fitting about 5 mins

Perfect timing! I was (again) looking into fitting rear cup holders after my wife sat in the back of my cat with my daughter and could not believe there were no cup holders

As the ‘official’ parts start to add up, I was considering the alternative that’s AliExpress

What’s the quality like @Bishop187?

From the pictures, it looks good!

Do you have a link to the item you purchased? For that amount it’s worth the gamble that it may not last…. But then again official Audi parts tend to fail $$$$

Yeah I think the OEM parts come to about £150 odd.

Here’s the link.

Quality wise seems quite good. I’m not 100% on the carbon look surround, but it’s hardly ever gonna be seen. I like you can buy it with the normal surround too

Looks really smart mate, like you say I would of preferred the black but looks a good fit etc.

I feel lucky mine had them already fitted now!

Hi Mate,
How was it to install?
Looking at getting it for mine.

It should have been very easy. But I put the cup holder in first and then had to spend 10 mins trying to make the surround fit.

Put the surround on first, then push the cup holder in.
If you look at the top of the cup holder there’s a little raised lip that surround fits into.

Still very easy to do.

Once the cupholder’s in you won’t get it back out.

Good luck

Odd question, but could you tell me what the part number on the old trim piece without the cupholder is?

Thanks!
