Possible fan issue?

Picked up my new used A3 over the weekend and think there might be an issue with it.

Did a couple of small journies, possibly 3-4miles, after turning the engine off, noticed the fan was running as I got out the car. Thought nothing of it as seen this on a few vehicles, however, nearly 30minutes later, the fan is still going!??

Is this normal??

Purchased from an Audi dealer so has a year warranty, should I be chasing them??

I'm not an expert but I could be the DPF cycle. I had a TT with the same engine and it did the same from new, the engine gives off a lot of heat at the same time. Hopefully somebody on here can confirm, no harm calling the dealer though.

Read the handbook first - read on DPF filter, if you've done short journeys and keep turning it off mid cycle it's not finishing the DPF cycle and will keep trying.

Take it for a long run in a higher gear to clear it out, that is assuming it is the DPF regent cycle.
