Hi guys

Im currently running S5 Sportback 2017 with Hancook tyres (19R)

Had this since September 2017 since new.

When i got the car weather was poor so never got to test the feel of the car.

But through the summer been putting the car through its paces

And 10k miles later ive come to the conclusion my car handles very poor.

Ive previously had A4,A6,A7’s and never really had a problem with handling. They used to stick to the road.

But this S5 Sportback is far off the handling mark

No confidence on entry into turns
Car just feels unstable

Ive recently had my wheel alignment checked and the front left was off so had that realigned. Since then a little improvement but still a very nervous car

My next step im considering changing my Hankook tyres for maybe Michelin PS4’s

What do u guys think?

Im just not enjoying my car at the moment, leaving me frustrated.

Had a friend in an S3 tailgating me (testing the car on country roads)

And even he could see the car twitching alot

Now i know the s5 has a longer wheelbase but still my A7 was never this nervous

Could the Hankook be the culprit?

Any thoughts and suggestions welcome

Thanks in advance guys...

September 2017 is the new shape (B9) - right?

Is it understeering? A rear roll bar helped my '16 plate. Less so was the CR-15 strut brace. Not sure if an equivalent exists for the newer shape. There's also a dedicated B9 forum just below this one...

It does understeer like most quattro’s i suppose but its more so where its got less front grip and rear is unstable under acceleration and breaking
