The other half wants to visit later this year as we are attending a wedding in the West County so will be near-ish to where the ferry departs from.

When she has visited in the previously the parking arrangements have involved leaving the car keys with them as the cars get parked up three or four deep so need to be moved around. Although I am sure they try to be careful - this doesn't leave me with a particularly warm feeling and definitely wouldn't qualify for an extreme parking thread!

Has anybody had an experience with this or any of the alternatives?

Thanks

Presumably you are referring to parking at the mainland end.
Why not get a taxi or bus from where you are staying.

Also presumably you're talking about the Isle of Scilly rather than Sicily??

The OCD part of me simply wouldn't allow me to park my car at one of these places where you have to hand over your keys knowing that it was very likely to be moved. I would make other arrangements ranging from public transport, getting a lift, hire car....all the way up to ultimately not going!
Yes I really am this bad. :D

I wouldn’t be so keen letting someone else park or move my car. This is ferry parking and I parked my own. Sat there till all was parked and settled before I went up on deck.
