I was flicking though the menus last night and I found in the Servicing section my car needs an oil change in 40 days / 5900 miles.

Is this something I need book in with my Audi dealer or can it be done at any garage?
If its done at a local garage rather than an Audi dealer will it affect my PCP contract / Warranty?

Thanks
RG

Check the terms of your PCP deal.

It will certainly need to be at a garage that can access the Audi system to digitally sign the service book and reset the service interval counter on the car.

Quoted £216 for the oil change by Audi..... A bit steep for an oil change IMO, unless other things are checked.. although a free valet is included.

Madness. The oil, oil filter and sump bung can be got for less than £60 from a VAG dealer or TPS.

The "free valet" will be a hose down and a wash with the finest sponge and caustic TFR.

@Darren92 - Its my first car, I was aware there would be costs for running an Audi but the costs are adding up fast in the first year only.
I have been through 2 tyres already due to nail punctures considering I have only done 4.5K miles.... Should have gone for Tyre insurance.

Agree with the "Valet"

I was all for the dealer doing my work up until about 18 months ago when things started going sour. My dashcam caught them doing 75mph in a 30mph zone, work was charged for but was (on more than 1 occasion) never done, the amount of damage over 3 years to the car caused by them was unbelievable and it just got a point where I couldn't stick it anymore and basically told them to stuff them and their warranty (I had an Audi extended warranty at the time) and went to a specialist VAG outlet.

Same scenarios nearly with my Dad's A6 too and has now stopped going there altogether.

Thanks for the heads up.... I will be nosy and question the work carried out
