I have 8 years no claims on my s3 8L all mods declared and I’m looking to buy a second car but I can only use my no claims on one car.if I take the no claims off my s3 8L the price goes up buy £1000 due to the extensive mods on the car

Is there any company’s out there that would give me a full 8 years no claims discount on my second car ?? Or a specialist firm for such a thing

    Thanks

Hi Goubo1, I've been on annual leave for a few weeks so have only just seen this.

We could certainly look at mirroring your bonus across to the second vehicle which would reward you with a lower rate as if you had those 8 years available, though in reality you'd start building actual bonus from thereon.

Always wondered this myself. Ran 2 cars for a number of years but had to sell my Z4M when my daughter was born. 4 years on I'm looking to get back into 2 cars but it looks like I've lost the 8 years NCB I 'earned' so have to start from scratch.

Can you split your NC? I've got 15 years currently so can I use 10 years on my RS and 5 years on the 2nd vehicle?

Hi, no you can't split your bonus.

    DPG?

Remember a post on the z4 forum about you going for a RSQ3

Yes mate, how are you getting on in the A3?

Have you had your little one yet?

A3 is a complete change from the z4 but actually enjoying driving it, much more comfortable and can actually put some power down on wet roads! Still, miss the go-cart driving experience on a warm dry day.

Baby is due mid October so still a few weeks yet...

Basically I’ve had similar recently. All of my no claims is wrappped up in a policy on my TT which I’m keeping for a few months more. Just got an S4 and didn’t think much of it having never owned two cars myself previously... lesson learnt!

Admiral basically turned out to be the cheapest by far for me - as they took into account my no claims on my other car/policy. Not the same discount as I’d have if I used my no claims, but way way cheaper than having zero no claims at all.

That's 'bonus mirroring' as referred to above.
