Took the s3 to audi today to have a look at drivers side pads wearing faster than passenger side both discs have overheated and both sets of pads are gone £465 :scared2:

You didn't actually have them replace them at that price?

Unfortunately I had no option today was my only day off from work and they were the only ones that could get it done today. I know I've been shafted. But hey ho it's done now.

last year I took my car to my local Audi dealer to have them look at the rear wiper motor (leaking) while it was there they gave it (me) a free inspection, one of the points it raised was that the pads and discs were in need of replacing highlighted on the form as red (danger?) a mechanic mate told me that they were fine and had lots of life in them.
this year I took my car back for a 50k service and again got the free inspection and the same discs and pads came back as ok, I challenged them about the previously highlighted discs and pads and was told its al down to the mechanic and his interpretation of there condition.:aggressive:

Yip, it's the good old scare you to death tactic/scam used by dealers.....
