New armrest ... But how do I fit it?

Hi

i have purchased a new leather top lid arm rest as mine is broken for the bargain price of £77.65 from Audi

they said that it just pulls out but I cannot figure out how to get the lid off any ideas or tips please?

It does just pull off, you have to be quite firm with it and I think you.ave to sort of pull it to the left or right while pulling. Don't be scared about breaking it, it will come off.

If the old one is broken already I wouldn't worry too much about breaking it. Just pull as mentioned, the hinge is like two pins that locate into the armrest body.

I don't want to break the lower section using too much force as f knows how much the lower section would be!

I've taken mine off before, just slide a flat blade screwdriver behind one side of the arm hinge and pop it out of its locating hole, then hold it firmly there and pop the other side out and wiggle the lid off

I too was worried about snapping something but I gave it a good yank and it came out
