Finally got a chance to give the S5 a good few hours detailing.

Run down of the process:
Bilberry and Iron X for wheels
Citrus pre-wash + KKD Blizzard snow foam for pre-wash
Citrus Wash and Gloss with 2BM for wash
AutoGlym Rinse as a drying aid
BlackLight Glaze and Petes 53 Wax for protection
Also polished exhausts using V34 compound.

Was given AutoGlym Rinse to trial at through DW. My S5 currently has no protection on it and seemed to be the perfect candidate for Rinse. Have been waiting to apply a ceramic on my car, so currently washing it with no protection on makes the drying process becomes very tedious....

Wet bonnet with no protection:

After spraying on Rinse:

After rinsing with hose again to sheet off water:

After drying:

Seem to provide a decent level of gloss as well as being a decent rinse aid

Nasty surprise on the bonnet though :( Massive stone chip that will need attention! Not sure whether to try a SMART repair or just get some Sepang touch up paint and do it myself. Had good results on my previous Phantom Black A5, but no idea what Sepang is like..?

Applied Glaze and Wax afterwards, but it got a bit dark so pics aren't great...This one shows the results pretty nicely though :)

Sepang very difficult to repair. One of the reasons I dislike it.

Just ordered my touch up paint from the dealer so will see how I get on. Was fairly happy with the repair I did on my Phantom Black A5, but that was in the middle of the passenger door, so wet sanding and polishing was nice and easy in terms of access...

Little bit worried about this one being so close the edge....

Going to be layering up the paint very slowly to reduce the need for sanding.
