Motor Hub avoid

Well went to test an A7 today, Wish I'd read the reviews before going to this place, Motor Hub is a very weird place, questionable sales team knowledge and advertising truth skills even for a dealership.

Started of okay saw the car ('13 A7) online which looked perfect in the far away pics but price was too high I really like the Daytona Grey colour so I gave them a ring asked for a test drive and no problem mentioned there.

Drove down (1hour 10 mins away) and they do have some lovely cars there, but the first problem was obvious when you arrive, it's actually a multi story car park and you realise they haven't just filled all the car park spaces but also the actual lanes to get in and out and drive around.

So go to reception and get handed the key to look around then car and then get told it's on one of the floors above, I walked past over 30 cars they would have to move one by one before I could test the car so no idea how they were going to sort that out.

Noticed strait away that the car had been scraped along both front corners, so bad on one corner that it had scraped half of the parking sensor away which wasn't mentioned or shown on the site, the site also said 19" wheels, got there it's 20" wheels which is more than I wanted as it sacrifices the comfort I was looking for and the front 2 alloys had obviously been dinged at some point and then much later refurbished badly as there were bubbles forming under the paint where it's rusted and bubbled.

Got in and greeted with a 'Due a Service' message and found the 89,000 miles advertised was actually 90,900 miles, that's nearly 2k more how many test drives has this been on? (The answer is none) so it was just a lie.

Then I look in the service schedule on the trip and find it was overdue a service and oil change by 245 days so this car had been sat with them along time.

Go back to reception to ask for a test drive to then be told I couldn't have one unless I told them what I was offering them! So I laid down that the car was damaged on both corners of the front bumpers, I needed to test that the front sensor was still working, the wheels where damaged and bubbling the mileage was more than advertised, I needed to pay for a service and oil change, since it was nearing the 100k mile mark and the ZF gear box needed it's oil, filters and everything which is £500 alone and it had clearly been with them a long time with no sale so I offered them 21k and they said instantly we won't accept that?!?!

So I told them it's not worth more than that and left, they lied not mentioning any damage that was clear on it, they lied about the mileage, they lied that I was ever going to get a test drive today, the car needs over £500 worth of body and refurb work, over £1300 of service work to do in the next few weeks and I offered them a more than reasonable offer after taking all that into consideration as I liked the colour.

Unless your looking to spend at least over £80k for a second hand car your not going to get service better than going to a Del Boy back street dealer, even then unless you give them at least 4 days notice they are not going to be able to move cars around to get your car in a position to test drive and even then you need to have already made a deal with them to buy it!! and the sales people don't have any clue about the cars they are selling and the value of cars so god know what their after sales would be like. I also found out they changed their name recently as they got such bad reviews and ratings

Don't waste your time, what you are looking for isn't here and they wasted my day.

If you go to a car supermarket and expect Audi main dealer prep and service then you will be sorely disappointed, as you've found out today

The thing is I went to one the other week to see an A6 but ended up also testing the Jag XF and an A7 which I fell in love with and they were great, knew the cars inside and out even though it wasn't a specialised main dealer, really friendly and let you test as needed to try and make a sale, if the A7 had a few more options I wanted I may have gone with it and would happily deal with them if they get one in. This place was just a joke even though it had £150-200k lambos, GTR's, R8's, Masserattis and a few 458's (my favourite car) so I just expected alot more from them if they want to sell cars like that.
