MOT fail... Please help!

Hi,
My s3 failed on the headlight beam pattern, the mot tester said it may be a bulb fitted incorrectly (it’s not been touched since last test) or the bulb may be on its way out?
Has anyone got any other suggestions or thoughts on this please?

If standard headlights check you haven't flipped to left hand drive

Was he more specific about what was wrong with the beam?

He said the beam pattern kick up was not defined, which to be fair is just a blob of light rather than the usual defined ramp shape <tuffty/>
