It is true, when you update the battery level indication is lost. It alwais is this way. Possibly you have also lost bord computer and speed warning.
My languaje is poor, but I think that we going to understand.
Firstly, you have to activate MMI hidden menu. For that you need VAG COM.
You connect VAG COM and you select 07-Display/control unit
10- adaptation
select Channel 08
select Read
add value 1
select Test
select Save
select Done, Go Back
select Close the controller
Now you have to restet MMI.
To enter hidden menu, press car + setup (5 second).
Scroll to Diag. settings
Go to "APK 0x01 , 0x08 ,0x0C"
Scroll down and put a tick on bord computer
Scroll down and acept changes.
Go to Car menus maske
Scroll and put a tick on indicator battery or battery level
Scroll down and acept changes.
Now you have to reset MMI again.
