Milteck Exhaust Fitement Question

Hi guys,

My current back box is damaged on my s3 8l and needs replacing. I have found a miltec back box which has been removed from the newer shape s3 the 8p i think its called. Will i be able to get this to fit without too much hassle? ie: moving hangers, welding and having pipe made up. Or should i just steer clear?

No mate... won't fit, different beast altogether...

I say try it. If you can weld etc, then give it a go.

...and the room to play with..

Problem you have is the 8L and 8P pipes run different sides of the prop... the only place you could cross over potentially is in the rear section past the rear diff... bit like this..

... but I can't see there being the room with the Milltek 8P box...

I reckon the box could be done, but not the mid section.
I bet it would sound great too, the 8l milltek is gigantic, 8p looks a lot more compact and prob flows better

..apart from the tight kink to get the pipework over to the other side...

8L Milltek flows fine... certainly more than the std back box....

Can you recommend anyone or anywhere i can get a nice aftermarket back box or system without breaking the bank!!??
Would be happy with a cat back, i like the oval shape similar to the leon cupra r.
