Went to get my 2007 A4 2.0tdi 170 remapped but couldn't be done due to the ECU being locked and not letting the guy access it. Anyone had this before and know how to get around it?
Normally only the read is locked (noread tag). But if you do a adv id on the ecu you should be able to locate a stock file and give you a base to start from.

If someone states that an ECU is locked on a car that tuning is openly available for, it reflects a lack of knowledge and/or ability.
If you contact your local Revo dealer, they'll be able to assist you and load the Revo software which has had many months of development on track and road in localised conditions, to ensure maximum gains in driveability and performance, rather than chasing figures on a rolling road or just upping a few values in the performance area.
