Thought I’d share my lockdown project with you.
I’d wanted the BE when I was looking for this A4, but there weren’t many available and certainly none in my budget.
So, as I had a few weeks on my hands, I decided I’d make my own BE!

Mods:
- All brushed silver trim inside (removed and) sprayed Matt black
- Chrome roof rails sprayed Matt black
- Upper and lower chrome window trims (removed and) wrapped in Matt black
- Door mirror caps (removed and) sprayed Matt black
- Rear bumper upper and lower trim (removed and) sprayed Matt black
- Front bumper lower trim and rad grille (removed and) sprayed black
- Exhaust trim tips (removed and) sprayed Matt black
- Matt black Audi rings and badges (all)

Had a bit of fun doing it. It’s a DIY job and my spraying skills ain’t half bad for a first timer. And wrapping was quite tricky but a good result.
I’m going to re-do some of the wrapping at some point, to try and get a better finish.

Sorry, crap photos but hope you get the ideas!

Comments welcome (pls be nice!)...

The photos look good
One bit you missed is the side blades they should be black as well (for a true BE)

Can I ask what you did with the rear three quarter window? Did you take off that trim or wrap on the car ?

The rear quarters I painted in the end. The finish on the roof bars was good enough and has worked well. Plus it’s hardly noticeable compared to the wrap.
I tried to remove them but you need to take the whole window out, and break the seal to get the trim free. So I left them in place and painted them on-car.

I'm interested in how the spray painting of the internal inserts and grille went? Was it tough to remove them? Did you lacquer them as well?

Got any more detailed/close up pics? :)
