Hockey Puck

Hi I am planning to fit a catch and and simplify the PCV system.

I noticed that the y hose connected the the Hockey Puck had oil around it, so I took the Hockey Puck valve off. It has oil residue and gunk inside, my question can you simply clean it out? or does it need replacing.

If you can clean it out whats the best stuff to use?

When I installed my catch can I removed the hockey puck.

You can clean it, degreaser would be best. As far as I'm aware it just slows the airflow down a little.

But for the price of a new one it might be worth saving some effort
