Help!

Hi guys
Hoping someone can help me with this.

I've installed some led daytime running lights on my A3,I've connected the negative wires to the negative side of the car battery as the instructions said,

The positive wires are very short, I was told to extend them and run them to my dashboard fuse box.

Which cable can I use to extend them?
Which fuse shall I use inside that fuse box?

Failing that I've also been told they can be connected to my sidelights! How would I go about doing that?

It's a 56 plate.

You have a constant positive feed when ignition on to reversing light switch on gearbox ,connect to that and it won't affect lighting ecu, use a multimeter to test which of the 2 wires is live.
