hi all
this is an unusual one but hopefully someone on here might have a solution.
couple of weekends ago me and mate are out on motorbikes , out in middle of nowhere he notices a rear puncture , we pull over inspect tyre nasty 1 cm slit in middle of tread , call AA and get told because its a bike related recovery thats a 4 hour wait ! so i go off in search of a remedy and come back with tyre gunge ( tyre weld) .
Now you can probably guess whats coming next ..........
the gunge holds tyre pressure but is slowly oozing out the split , decision made carefull ride home , the most cautious 30 mile ride we ever done lol .
get his bike home and rear end is covered in this gunge which due to being a cbr600rr is nicely ****** by the underseat exhaust.
we have managed to get most of it off , however there are some sections not budging ,specifically the painted rear hugger, we have tried bike specific cleaning products , neat brake cleaner , white spirit on a cloth , label remover , even mr muscle oven cleaner as getting desperate lol.
so does anyone know of a product that we can try to shift the remaining gunge ?
