Headlamp Washer Jets Stick out

The cars had 2 new xenon headlamps under warranty and ever since then these have stuck on and off for the past 12 months.

The car is now out of warranty and they continually stick and I'm at risk of the covers being whipped off at 70mph on the motorway after use, I push them back into place once stopped.

Has anybody worked on these, do they simply need lubricated ???

Not sure if they are the same as the ones I have on my golf, but I pulled them out and lubed with WD40 then worked them in an out a few times. It worked a treat.

i had this problem with one side.but it went back in and was fine,i did lose the end cap and they dont come painted.i would take off the caps if you cant get them to go back in.might have frozen?
